Nathan Hildebrandt proposed to Kyla Hume in front of the first home they both built together.
Nathan strapped Kyla into his tool belt on her waist, under the guise that he wanted her to help him finish framing the house. When she finished all the jobs he asked her to complete, Nathan reached into the tool belt and pulled out the ring box and got down on one knee.
The couple’s said their vows at a simply black and white peacock-themed wedding at the All Saints Anglican Church in Winnipeg. Their reception was held at the St. Charles Golf and Country Club with 150 guests attending on September 8, 2012.
Kyla’s favourite moment was hearing Nathan’s vows at the altar. She baked Nathan’s favourite chocolate chip cookies as wedding favours.
